Italian tech and northern grit: CyclingTips at the Giro d'Italia 2019 Stage 15

What a stage. It was as if all the fireworks had to be used up prior to the rest day, and boy were there a lot of fireworks. We had an epic breakaway by two ‘cats’ that resulted in a closely fought sprint, awesome and unexpected attacks from riders we know well and some we don’t, we had crashes; all this resulted in a whole host of questions that will hang over our heads for a whole rest day.

As for Caley and myself, well it was a long day (not as long as the rider’s, don’t start feeling too sorry for us). We hit the start, we hit the finish, and we hit hunger.

This episode you’ll find a plethora of tech from the smaller teams that are here on the race, tech that doesn’t generally get the limelight. There’s also ball gowns, yes you read that right, ball gowns, there are angry Italians, and happy ones too, there are old faces now on knobbly tyres and new faces looking tired. So please delve in and take a look, we like to think we’ve supplied a jam-packed episode.

They’ll be more tomorrow, it may be a rest day for the order’s but we will be out and about, doing what we are here for, harassing the riders, staff and folk of the 2019 Giro. Stay tuned.
