Sometimes, only a long mountain bike ride will do. Whether you're working on your skills at your local trails or if you're searching for remote singletrack, an all day ride requires a bit more preparation that just heading out the door for a short blast.
Start with your bike. You don't want it to break miles from home, so is everything trail-worthy?
How about fuel? Make sure that you have enough food in your pack to keep your engine running all day. Some cash will also come in handy for your hard-earned post-ride beer.
You also need to put spares in your pack. Make sure you pack a little more than you normally would.
Have you got any tips that you'd add to our list. You know the score; let us know in the comments below this video.
